May is now officially down for the count. As wonderful as last month’s weather was, you hate to see it go. In our business, weather dictates not only what we do, but how well we do it. Certainly, weather has a pull on us all. So far, we’ve had seasonably mild temperatures and sufficient rainfall. Looking ahead, the forecast doesn’t look particularly hot, and if the meteorologists are right, we have a strong chance of more rain showers in the coming days.

Given all the planting that’s happened this spring, it’s certainly a welcome and much appreciated turn to have the weather seemingly on our side. After a tough winter for many gardens, it’s encouraging to finally see the weather working with us, helping to keep everything growing and productive.
