23 Years of Gratitude

Yesterday evening Nashvillians from all walks of life gathered at the Ascension St. Thomas Landing at Nashville Yards for the 38th Annual Best of Nashville Awards hosted by the Nashville Scene. It was a vibrant affair, filled with delicious bites crafted by some of the best restaurants in town. I’m still dreaming about the luscious yellowtail from Noko.

We were blessed with our 23rd BoN Award for Best Nursery/Garden Center, and we couldn’t have achieved that without you! Thank YOU, dear reader, for acknowledging our commitment to providing top-tier customer service. We are beyond fortunate to have been able to serve this community for nearly 95 years, and we strive to provide conscientious care every day.

The Fall weather keeps rolling in. Despite some highs in the 80s, the low temps in the evenings assure us that cooler weather is on the horizon. We are now fully stocked on bulbs! The onion sets and garlic bulbs, hard neck and soft neck, are in. We have pumpkins, mums, pansies, snapdragons — everything you need to create your own Autumnal paradise. From balconies to yards, if you want to add a little pumpkin spice to your life, we have you covered.

This Saturday looks to be a repeat of last week in terms of rain — yeehaw! After a 45 day stretch of no rain, getting it two weeks in a row feels like a gift. We gardeners are weather watchers by nature. Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about dodging the raindrops when you shop with us. Over half of our nursery stock is under covered areas, so you can shop in the shade no matter the weather.

Have you been struck by Porch Goose fever? We are big fans of this delightful trend, and we have outfits for every mood and season! If you want to have the best dressed goose in the neighborhood, come see us! More geese and spooky Halloween costumes will be arriving soon.

That’s it for this week, friends. Tune in to Gardening Inside Out every Saturday at 8 am. Queue up the podcast and check out Garden Snacks with Caroline. Follow our Instagram for behind the scenes fun and questions answered. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Happy Gardening,

Sara Bates
