50% off ONE* item through 9/11
The leaves are starting to change, and the ground is certainly crunchier. You may have felt a raindrop or two yesterday. Apart from the high temps tomorrow, the forecast looks mild and pleasant. Fingers crossed we will all get a little rain to help soften the ground for planting. We continue to get trucks filled with new plants all ready for a new spot in your garden. If there is something specific tree-wise you’re looking for, you may want to wait a week or two as we have lots more trees coming in for fall. However, if there is something you’ve had your eyes on all summer, this may be the time to strike! For our final summer sale, we are offering half off ONE item of your choosing (per Bates Rewards account, per household, per week).
How much can one item really impact your landscape? Well, let’s take a look. Say you just pulled out the last of your summer crops. A scoop of compost will get your raised beds ready for the cool season, and you can work the rest into your established beds too. A stunning large tree like Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry or Forest Pansy Redbud can create a focal point in your yard. How about that bare corner on your porch; has an eye catching pot been calling your name? Take care of your pottery by keeping it lifted so it can drain well, and you will enjoy it for years to come.
Maybe you’re ready for fall color. We have the first several flats of pansies in! We also have asters, mums, decorative peppers, and lots of ornamental greens. If you want to get a head start on autumn, we have lots of herbs and cool season crops as well. Give us a shout at (615) 876-1014 before you head over if you want to check on quantities or specific varieties. Keep those brassicas in the shade to prevent what we talked about last week!
To stay in the loop, give us a follow on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Tune in on Saturday mornings at 8am for Gardening Inside Out or catch the podcast after hours. We are always glad to hear from you. Happy Gardening!
