We knew it was too good to be true. Just when we were thinking that we were going to get through the summer without a scorching streak of days, our luck runs out.  It could be worse. Actually, we have been decently fortunate this summer. While we have had some dry periods, and now a hot spell, they haven’t arrived concurrently. When dry conditions have been present, it hasn’t been excessively hot. From our plants’ point-of-view, the heat is decidedly more bearable with the rains received the last few weeks, albeit a bit muggy from the human perspective.
