Odd Holiday Phenomenon; an Awkward Split

33% off EVERYTHING*, through December 23rd, and 27th & 30th!

The holidays are a time of joy, reflection, and… unusual scheduling challenges. This year, Christmas and New Year’s Day land squarely on a Wednesday—a phenomenon that feels oddly disruptive and seemingly rare. Statistically, holidays on Wednesdays occur 14.285% of the time, which means, nothing: (7x14.285=99.995%). However, everyone’s juggling work, family, and festivities… this midweek placement creates a unique puzzle: do you take the first half of the week off, the second half, or awkwardly split your time?

Customers, staff, and suppliers alike find themselves navigating a staccato rhythm of business demands and holiday cheer. That midweek “pause” feels more like a hard reset; meanwhile we cram more into the days surrounding it.

With this in mind, we’re adjusting our hours, and year-end savings,  to help you make the most of your gardening needs while balancing the season’s festivities, for the next two weeks… albeit awkwardly.

Christmas Week: We’ll be closed on Tuesday, December 24th for Christmas Eve through Thursday December 26.  We will be open on Friday December 27. We will be closed Saturday and Sunday December 28/29th.

New Year’s Week: We’re open Monday December 30th. We’ll be closed on Tuesday, December 31st for New Year’s Eve through January 2 . We will be open Friday, January 3rd 9 AM–4 PM, and Saturday 9 AM–2 PM, and closed Sunday, January 5th. We will re-open with our winter hours beginning Monday January 6, 2025.
